ADA – Pack Checker (TH)
TH (Total Hardness of water) is the sum of some multivalent cations, such as calcium ions, in water. This is often used in conjunction with a TDS pen as certain livestock, such as shrimp, require strict control over these measurements to thrive. Please always check the level of TH after setting new stones or gravels in your aquarium using ADA – Pack Checker (TH). The instructions included in the box are concise and will help you achieve a better looking and better working aquarium.
Too much calcium ions in the water may disturb plant growth such as inhibiting absorption of nutrients, fading the colour of new leaves, and decreasing the overall growth of leaves. TH (Total Hardness of water) measures the amount of Calcium and Magnesium ions.
When the TH level is high, the colour of new leaves starts fading and the growth of the plants is disturbed.
Use ADA Soft Water if TH is too high.
