Limnophila aquatica – An extremely beautiful aquarium plant from tropical Asia, circled by light-green and finely branched leaves. In the right growing conditions with added CO2 and a nutritious bottom this plant grows fast and can become 25-50 cm long and each stem up to 15 cm wide.
In good light Limnophila aquatica forms horizontal side shoots and becomes attractive and bushy. Most decorative when several stems are planted in a small group, best in big, spacious tanks. In open aquariums it sometimes sends emersed shoots above the water surface, forming conspicuous flowers that are white with purple or violet blotches.
Just like fish, living plants do best when they are kept in an aquarium that best suits their needs. Selecting live plants that share common water conditions will minimize problems and make it easier for you to maintain and keep your aquarium in tip top shape. We want your plant to thrive and become a favorite part of your tank. Do research before purchasing and be sure to choose plants that are suitable for your aquarium so you will get the most out of your new addition.
Our plants are grown emersed and may not look great on arrival especially if they have travelled for a few days to reach you. Please give the plants some light and transplant into your tank as soon as possible for best results.
